Community Guidelines

How we keep this place good

"Tanga tanga" is the spirit of wandering and exploring — together. These guidelines exist so every member gets to enjoy that, safely and without the noise. They apply everywhere on Tanga Tanga Club — chat, comments, shares, and every interest group.

Authentic Community

Safe & Inclusive

Curated Experiences

Good Vibes Only

Be kind, be real

Treat every member the way you'd want to be treated on the trail. No harassment, hate speech, bullying, or personal attacks — disagree with ideas, not people. Discrimination of any kind isn't welcome here.

Keep meetups & trips safe

This is an adventure community — people meet in real life. Follow your trip leader or guide's instructions, don't share your live location publicly, and only pay for trips through the platform (Reserve or Pay Now on a listing) — never off-platform, no matter who asks.

No outside links

Links to external sites aren't allowed in chat, comments, or group posts — it keeps the space free of spam and scams. Want to share an event, experience, blog or game? Use the Share button — it posts a proper card, not a raw link.

No spam or self-promotion

This isn't the place for repeated ads, unsolicited business pitches, or flooding channels with the same message. If you're a verified host, sell through your listings — not by spamming chat.

Share responsibly

Only post photos and content you actually have the right to share. Give credit where it's due, and never pass someone else's work off as your own.

Keep it real, not fake

One account, one you. No impersonating other members, staff, guides, or organisations, and no catfishing or scam accounts. Verified hosts, affiliates, and agents carry a status you can trust — imitating one is a fast route to a ban.

Respect privacy

Don't share anyone else's personal details — phone numbers, addresses, photos, or anything private — without their clear OK first.

Groups have their own rules too

Interest groups may add extra guidelines on top of these — check a group's Rules before posting there. These sitewide guidelines always apply everywhere, no exceptions.

How we moderate

Messages that break these rules get removed. Accounts that break them — especially repeatedly — can be restricted from posting, temporarily or permanently, at our discretion. We'd rather you never see this happen: read the room, and when in doubt, don't post it.

See something off? Tell us

If a message, a member, or a group is causing trouble, don't escalate it yourself — email support@tangatanga.com with as much detail as you can (who, what, where) and our team will take it from there.
